Prerequisites

  • You have finished the basic controls tutorial and can move and park a Trampler.
  • Bring basic weapons, a small amount of ammo, repair supplies and food or water.
  • Keep at least one third of your backpack free so the first resource spot does not force hard choices.

Steps

  1. Step 1: Set a goal before launch

Do one thing this run: learn one nearby POI and one extraction route. Do not combine fighting with exploring distant points.

  2. Step 2: Loot outer resources first

Search outer containers, wrecks and lower buildings first. If you hear fighting or see dust movement, return to the ship and observe.

  3. Step 3: Prepare to extract around 70% full

For beginners, the most important reward is not one perfect haul; it is reliably bringing resources back to storage.

  4. Step 4: During extraction, protect the hull, not your pride

When an enemy ship approaches, create distance first. Unless the enemy is already weakened, do not lose the Trampler for one last crate.

Key Warnings

Do not leave overloaded:Bringing too many supplies on the first run increases the cost of failure.

Do not chase gunfire:Gunfire usually means third parties are also approaching.

Do not ignore vision:In the desert, whoever spots first usually gets to decide whether to fight or leave.

Recommended Setup

Solo light ship

Prioritize speed, vision, repair and basic storage. Firepower is mainly deterrence.

Squad fire-support ship

Keep driver and spotter roles fixed. Firepower modules support extraction and counterattacks.

Hauler ship

Prioritize storage and durability. Run familiar routes and avoid entering fights on purpose.

How to record rewards and returns

When farming resources, prefer routes near extraction points, with fewer enemy ships and quick access back to the Trampler. See the coral guide for Coral Chunks and Weird Coral details.
